Protreon is actively seeking experienced Cable Technicians to install and repair telecommunications systems in both residential and commercial environments. This includes the installation and maintenance of phone lines, internet cables, and cable television systems. Given the customer-facing nature of this role, strong communication and customer service skills are essential, in addition to technical expertise in operating diagnostic equipment and tools. Key Responsibilities:

• Install and troubleshoot cable systems.
• Complete work orders and secure proper signatures for accurate billing.
• Ensure all installations meet Protreon's quality standards.
• Communicate regularly with dispatch in line with company procedures.
• Assist in managing workflow and overflow tasks as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and safety protocols.
• Conduct quality control inspections of installations.
• Provide training and mentorship to new technicians when necessary.
• Operate personal vehicles while maintaining safe driving practices.
• Install High-Speed Data (HSD), cable, and phone services per work orders.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and customers.
• Manage time efficiently to meet scheduled appointments.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Own a truck or van equipped with a ladder rack and all necessary tools. Meters may be available for lease.
• Ability to lift and manage a 28’ ladder (50-75 lbs.).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings as required.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Strong ability to interpret technical instructions in both written and diagram form.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to work independently under written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.

Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in cable installation and telecommunications is preferred, though specific requirements may vary based on job duties.
• Proven ability to identify and solve problems, collect data, and make informed decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly in both one-on-one and small group settings.

We are currently conducting pre-screening for upcoming projects in Miami, West Palm Beach, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, and Vero Beach. Competitive compensation is offered, with the possibility of increased pay for those willing to travel temporarily to assist in other areas.
